Serial ATA -or simply SATA - is the hard disk standard connection cable created to replacethe parallel ATA interface, also known as IDE. SATA provides a transfer rate of150 MB/s or 300 MB/s against 133 MB/s maximum transfer rate usingthe previous technology.
